Man Sues Los Angeles Angels After Getting His “Eye Crushed” During an Innocent Act at a Game in 2022
David Mermelstein was left with a “crushed” eye after the Los Angeles Angels game, according to the suit.
A man attending a Los Angeles Angels game last summer is now suing the team after being injured by a ball tossed into the stands by former outfielder Juan Lageras.
In reference to throwing the ball, the suit alleges that Lageras “had a duty to do so reasonably and safely” instead of throwing the ball “with such force and velocity that it traveled over the outfield wall…and smashed into the eye socket of an unsuspecting fan.”
Mermelstein is seeking an undisclosed amount of damages from the Los Angeles Angels and Lageres.
