In fact, the 3-6 PM time frame saw the most accidents everyday of the week but Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday and Sunday peak time period was 9PM-12 AM.

Drivers suffered the brunt of all injuries in Fresno car accidents, accounting for over 61 percent total. Only 42 percent had airbag deployment.

27.4 percent of all crashes took place on freeways. Major freeways that run through Fresno include:

• State route 168
• State route 41
• State route 180
